A Princeton Wedding

Nothing makes me happier than thank you notes and professional wedding pictures. Even though I'm sure to take a photo of just about every wedding bouquet that leaves the store, there really is nothing like an amazing shot by a professional wedding photographer like this one taken by Char Photography at charphotography.com and how fun is this?

I really loved everything that Rachel chose and especially enjoyed how everything coordinated. This wedding is a perfect example of how keeping the colors simple can really make an amazing statement. Although the floral elements were textured and interesting, the simple color theme does not distract from all those beautiful girls carrying the bouquets - Rachel included. And the boys are not to shappy either! To see more photos from this elegant wedding, be sure to watch our Youtube Video called
Rachel and Dion's Wedding. Enjoy!

To Toss or Not To Toss

Brides ask me all the time if other brides still do the bridal bouquet toss. Personally, I'm not in favor of tossing the actual bridal bouquet - they can be a bit large and I have a vision of a girl getting clocked on the head and going down for the count. But I do think it's a fun tradition. If you want to toss a bouquet, creating a smaller version of your actual bouquet, with streaming ribbons (trust me, this looks fabulous in the photos) is the way to go. As to whether you should or shouldn't, about 70% of our brides still go with tradition and toss a bouquet.

My advise on the "To Toss or Not To Toss" is thinking about your guest list. Are there lots of young ladies coming to the wedding that would love to be called up for the flower toss or is there just 1 or 2 who might be embarrassed by being unattached? Being respectfull of your family and friends usually will make the choice easier for you. I find younger brides can't wait to do this while older ones, with less unattached friends tend to steer clear. Doing a dance of the decades (the folks married the longest) might be a fun substitute but again, you have to know your guest list. If the longest married couple are at an age where they are not able to get up and participate in the dance, presenting the bouquet might be awkward.

Either way weddings are meant to be fun so do what feels right for you. Enjoy!

I'm in love with Rachel's bridal bouquet. As I type this, Kevin has just driven away from presenting her this bouquet and she was pleased enough to tell Kevin to call me right away!

What is not to love? Creamy white ranunculus and dahlias, arranged with peach spray roses, peach mini calla lilies, orange tea roses - call Tropical Amazon, seeded eucalyputs and peach colored hypericum berries. The texture is just so appealing and should look amazing in her photos. I can't wait to see the photos of Rachel in her wedding gown holding this bouquet. Now here is to hoping to no rain today!!
